
The people of Sri Lanka most certainly did not give a mandate to the government to draft a ‘new constitution’, but to amend it, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says.
He expressed this view while speaking at an event held in Sooriyawewa, Hambantota.
Meanwhile, former leader of the Jathika Hela Urumaya, Ven. Omalpe Sobitha Thero, while speaking at a gathering in Weeraketiya said action should be taken against officials of the government who are in the spotlight due to their involvement in offences.
