Student led protests occurring in the area near Thummulla in Colombo has caused a traffic build up in the area.
The protests are allegedly being held against the functioning of the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM), sources reveal.
Police have urged the public to use alternative routes, to reduce the congestion caused in the area.
