At least 6 students from three leading schools in Colombo have been hospitalised due to injuries following two separate clashes today (15).
The students have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment, a spokesman said.
It has been reported that a bus and several school vans were also damaged as a result of the clashes.
Fifteen school boys have been arrested by Maradana and Borella police stations in connection with the incidents.
Clashes reportedly broke out at two separate locations in Maradana and Borella today and involved students from three leading schools in Colombo.
UPDATE: A total of eight student were hospitalised following the two clashes.
An SLTB bus, a private bus, two vans and a car were damaged during the incidents.
Fifteen students have been arrested so far in connection with the brawls.
Police said that a group of students from one school attacking a bus carrying students from another school yesterday (14) has been identified as the possible reason for the clashes today.
