A discussion will be held with the Transport Minister and the Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters’ Union (SLRSMU) on Monday afternoon.
The SLRSMU had earlier announced that it will resort to a 48-hour token strike from midnight 7 March.
SLRSMU Chairman Indika Ruwan Pathirana said the meeting will be held with Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva at 2.00 pm.
The SLRSMU had threatened strike as the authorities have failed to address its issues with respect of holding department level examinations and giving promotions, it was reported.
