Pillayan further remanded for the 33 time

Batticaloa Magistrate M. Ganeshraja has issued an order which will further remand the former Chief Minister of the Eastern Province Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan, for the 33 time, Ada Derana reporter said. 

 


He was presented at the Batticaloa magistrates Court earlier this morning, where it was decided to detain Pilliyan till the 20 of this month. 

 


Pillayan was arrested under allegations made against him linking to the murder of former Parliamentarian Joseph Pararajasingham in 2005.
