Rathana Thero requests for a Militarized committee for investigations

United National Party (UNP) Nationalist Member of Parliament (MP), Ven. Rathana Thero stated that Joint panel should be put forward to investigate the allegations made against the Intelligence officers who have been arrested, Ada Derana learns. 

 

He added that the arrests are a threat to maintaining public security, during a press conference held by the Sri Lanka’s National Council earlier today (7).

 

Ven. Rathana Thero further added that the Joint panel should consist of President,  navy, air force and army personnel as well as a few police officers if absolutely necessary, where thorough investigations are carried out into the allegations that have been made.
