Heroine worth Rs.10 million seized

An individual from the Kotahena area was arrested over the possession of a large quantity of heroine, earlier today (10), police revealed.

 

A raid carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau uncovered just over 1 kg of heroine, Rs.60,000 made from the sale of heroine and a set of electronic scales.

 

The heroine seized is believed to be worth Rs.10 million, police said.

 

The arrested 33-year-old individual is believed to have received the stock of heroine from a person overseas. 

 

The suspect is to be presented to the Aluthkade Magistrate’s Court, and further investigations have begun.
