Woman found with hands tied, dies at hospital in Horana

An investigation is underway after a 56-year-old woman who was found unconscious with her hands tied behind her back at an abandoned house in Welimilla had died earlier this morning, police said.
The woman was pronounced dead after being rushed to the Horana Base hospital at around 5.00 am.
The deceased has been identified as a retired teacher who was a resident of Halapitiya, Welimilla.
A post-mortem will be held to reveal her cause of death, the officials said. The Moragahahena police are conducting further investigations.
