PHU accuses Speaker of being biased

The Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) on Monday stressed the Speaker should resign from his position in a bid to secure the ’dignity’ of his post.
PHU leader Udaya Gammanpila while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo said “To ensure his dignity and his post, Karu Jayasuriya should resign from his position.”
Gammanpila also accused the Speaker of being biased against the Opposition in order to support the United National Party (UNP).
“In the absence of Jayasuriya, even some government’s MPs scold him in indecent language,” he said.
Gammanpila also predicted that there is a move to arrest two more intelligence officers within this week.
