It is doubtful as to why security has not yet been provided for the judges and witnesses of the controversial bond sale, Western Province Chief Minister Isuru Devapriya says.
The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) is keeping a close eye since a response has not yet been received though a request was made to the IGP, Devapriya said while addressing a press conference held in Colombo on Wednesday.
He added that distress caused by not being given security would inconvenience witnesses in the case.
“If something happened to these people, the IGP and the police will have to take the responsibility,” he said.
