An investigation has been commenced after a 37-year-old Navy sailor had died while he was on his bed at the Navy camp in Poonewa.
The sailor was pronounced dead after he was admitted to the Vavuniya hospital this afternoon.
His remains are kept at the same hospital pending an autopsy. The Medawachchiya police are conducting further investigations.
