Three police search parties have been deployed to look for the missing businessman from Anuradhapura, under the guidance of S.P. Sadungahawaththa.
Ipalogama police had received a complaint regarding a 36-year-old resident from the area going missing on the 9 of this month (April).
The wife of the missing individual, who had filed the complaint, stated that the individual had left the house with a group of people.
She added that the group of people who had accompanied her husband, were officials tied to the Bandarawela Police Department, and known by the couple personally.
Police added that, given the facts presented to them, a primary investigation revealed that this was not a kidnapping case as the individual had left the household under his own will.
