Suspect nabbed over woman’s murder in Kotadeniyawa

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the recent brutal hacking to death of a woman in the Kotadeniyawa area.
A 68-year-old woman was found murdered at a residence in Katugenda, Kotadenyawa on April 12.
Following investigations, police arrested an individual who had worked as a domestic helped at the house in question while he had pleaded guilty to the murder during interrogations.
Police said that the suspect has murdered the woman in order to steal her gold chain.
The suspect is to be produced at the Minuwangoda Magistrate’s Court while Kotadeniyawa Police is conducting further investigations.
