A 54-year-old person was killed following an accident involving a motorbike and a private bus in Thirukkovil.
The accident occurred on Thirukkovil - Akkaraipattu road, police said.
The person was pronounced dead upon his admission to the Akkaraipattu Base hospital. His remains are kept at the same hospital pending a post-mortem.
