An individual has committed suicide in Welgoda of Peliyagoda, police said.
According to the police, the 68-year-old victim had committed suicide in his home in Welgoda, Kelaniya, by hanging himself.
The deceased’s body is currently placed at the Kiribathgoda Base hospital.
Police are in the process of conducting further investigations into the incident.
