Two individuals who had gone swimming in the Kelani river, have drowned and been pronounced dead.
The two individuals had passed away after being admitted to the Dompe Base hospital for treatment.
The deceased include a 27-year-old and a 29-year-old woman from the Heyiyanthuduwa area.
The postmortem will be carried out at the Dompe Base Hospital, later today (21).
