A cop has been detained after a shot was reportedly fired using his firearm at the UNP headquarters in Kotte, police said.
The police are investigating the incident and the official is being questioned, it was reported.
The initial investigations have suggested that the cop had intentionally fired the shot, sources said.
He will be produced before the Nugegoda Magistrate tomorrow (02).
