Area around Meethotamulla re-marked as danger zone

The disaster management center of Sri Lanka stated that the area around the Meethotamulla dump has been re-marked as a landslide risk zone.
The center although announcements were made for requesting the residents around the area to move elsewhere, however, over 200 people around the danger zone have ignored the warnings and had not relocated.
Areas such as 101 gardens in Dahampura are among the danger zones.
An announcement was made to evacuate the people in the area, last night (1).
