Gammanpila allowed to leave country

The Colombo High Court has granted permission to allow MP Udaya Gammanpila to leave the country. 

 

A plea was presented by Gammanpila to allow him engage in a religious ceremony in America, between the 18 and the 24 of this month (May). 

 

Gammanpila’s passport which was held under the custody of the High Court has been released on a bail sum worth Rs. 200 000. 

 

The High Court has requested the passport to be handed over to the custody of the court, once Gammanpila has completed his journey.
