Investigation launched as unidentified man obtains blood sample from student

An investigation has been initiated after an unidentified person had reportedly obtained a blood sample from a student at a school in Kinniya, police said.
A complaint has been lodged stating that the unidentified person obtained the blood sample while the child, who is currently receiving treatment at the Trincomalee hospital, was near school’s playground on May 05.
The preliminary investigation has found that the person had arrived at the location in a vehicle.
The Kinniya police are conducting further investigations.
