New constitution will not affect country’s unity – Wijeyadasa

The new constitution would do no harm to the unity of the country, Minister of Justice and Buddha Sasana, Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe states.
The Minister stated that the present government’s aim was to give prominence to Buddhism through the new constitution.
State Minister of Defense, Ruwan Wijewardene stated that former president Mahinda Rajapaksa’s military security was withdrawn based of instructions from intelligence agencies.
He added that Rajapakse’s security was not withdrawn with vengeful intentions.
Wijewardene stated this at a media briefing after an event in Gampaha.
