COPE President testifies over Central Bank bond scandal

President of the Committee On Public Enterprises (COPE), MP Sunil Handunnetti arrived before the commission appointed to investigate the bond scandal of the Central Bank, in order to give his testimony on the bond scandal.

 

The MP arrived before the commission in the morning today (08), after being summoned by the commission.

 

Secretary of the commission, Sumathipala Udugamsuriya states that Handunnetti is in the process of giving his testimony.

 

Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank was also summoned by the commission today.

 

The testimony of the Deputy Governor is due to be taken after the completion of Handunnetti’s testimony.
