The attempts to make Sri Lanka a colony of India must be stopped, the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) organization stressed Monday.
BBS leader Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera made the observation while speaking to reporters at a press conference held in Colombo.
Gnanasara Thera went on to say people should decide on the matter wisely before finding contentment following the decision to invite Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hold an international level Vesak Day celebration. He predicted that this would be warning of a potential threat against the country in future.
The BBS leader also added the patriots have a doubt on the reasons to invite the Indian Prime Minister to celebrate Vesak. “This should be reviewed in different perspectives,” he said.
Gnanasara Thera also alleged though people intend to criticize the President over whatever issues, it is the Prime Minister who is behind these plans most of the time.
