The number of High Court Judges will be increased by 85, it was reported.
A proposal made by Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe in this regard has been granted permission by the Cabinet of Ministers as well.
At the moment, there are 75 High Court Judges in Sri Lanka. The decision to increase the number of Judges came to expedite the process of the pending cases, sources said.
