Another heroin haul found in Maradana

Another stock of heroin, weighing 3.5 kilograms and estimated to be worth around Rs 35 million, has been recovered from a garbage mound on D R Wijewardena Mawatha in Maradana. 

 

Police spokesman DIG Priyantha Jayakody said that the discovery was made by officers from the Maradana Police, based on information received. 

 

Maradana Police is conducting further investigations into the find. 

 

This is the second heroin haul recovered today as 198 kilograms of heroin was seized by police from the Chilaw area this morning (11. )
