Provincial Minister S.M. Ranjith has handed over his letter of resignation to the governor of the North Central Provincial Council, yesterday (11).
He added that due to certain disagreements that had occurred within the party, the minister would like to resign from his given designations. Ranjith further stated that the resignation was a form of resistance against the decision made to remove former minister of health of the north central provincial council, K.H. Nandasena.
S.M. Chandrasena added that the powers vested within the North Central Province Council will be transferred to the Joint Opposition Party.
