A body of a 70-year-old man was recovered from a forest area in Aselapura, Welikanda this morning, police said.
The body was recovered following a tip-off received by the police emergency number, it was reported.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Aselapura. His remains are kept at the Welikanda hospital pending a post-mortem.
The Welikanda police are conducting further investigations.
