Under the Yahapalanaya Government, Sri Lanka has achieved a stable economic status in just two years, USA says.
American Congress member, Bill Johnson pointed out the speciality of two leading political parties ruling the country together.
Congress member Johnson stated this at a discussion he had with the Minister of Finance, Ravi Karunanayake at the Ministry of Finance.
Bill Johnson, upon taking a tour of the Northern Province, added that the renovation and development activities of the region were indeed a success.
He further stated that if the citizens of the North required anything more, he was confident that the government would take the necessary steps to fulfil their requirements.
Minister Ravi Karunanayake then took the opportunity to point out that the government was being proactive in developing all the areas of the island. He added that Sri Lanka was climbing towards success at an international level.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Atul Keshap was also present at this meeting.
