A 26-year-old youth has been shot dead today (30), Police Spokesperson confirmed a short while ago.
The police have launched a manhunt to locate the suspect who had fled after opening fire at the victim, it was reported.
The shooting occurred at around 6.15 pm in Middaramulla, Ahungalla, police added.
The remains of the deceased are kept at the Balapitiya Base Hospital pending a post-mortem.
