2 arrested in connection with eZ Cash fraud

Two individuals have been arrested in Karamba, Palaviya of Puttalam, for allegedly defrauding Rs. 120,000 using the eZ Cash system.

 

Police stated that the arrest was made during a raid which was conducted based on a tip received by the Police.

 

02 mobile phones and 18 SIM cards were discovered on the suspects at the time of the arrest.

 

The suspects are said to be residents of Puttalam, aged 25 and 26 years.

 

The arrestees were remanded till June 14, after being produced before the Puttalam Magistrate’s Court.
