MP Namal Rajapakse stated that immediate relief efforts should be put in place to help those affected by the floods.
He further added that most of the people who were affected by the rain have still not been provided with the necessary aid.
Rajapaksa stated that legal action taking place against members of the Joint Opposition party should be taken as swiftly as they do with normal judiciary procedures in the country.
