Sri Lankans possess a generosity and humanity that is not seen in any other country in the world, President Maithripala Sirisena said.
Adding on, the President stated that the reason for this unique generosity and humanity was the social environment of the country which revolved around the Buddhist way of thinking.
He proceeded to point out that the whole nation had united with compassion and kindness to lend a hand to the victims who were affected by the recent floods and landslides.
President Sirisena stated this upon attending a religious ceremony at the historic ‘Udakotuwa Bodhi-sameepa Bheemathiththa Rajamaha Vihara’ yesterday (06).
