An individual who was part of a forged driving license issuing center has been arrested during a raid carried out by the Alawwa Police Department in the Polgahawela area.
Police personnel had managed to stop and search a suspected motorcycle driver who had a forged license, where upon questioning, revealed the location from which the forged document was obtained.
The raid revealed four number plates, three rubber stamps, three identity cards, and nine driving licenses along with documents, all of which were forged.
A 47-year-old individual living at the residence where the forged documents were found, has been arrested.
A decision to remand the individual till the 22 of June was made after the individual was presented to the Polgahawela Magistrate’s Court.
