
President Maithripala Sirisena stated that he was looking forward to promoting Sri Lanka as an education center of Buddhism.
He made these statements during a meeting held with the Buddhist intelligence Board in Sri Lanka, yesterday (15).
Sources revealed that Prof. Ven. Kotapitiya Rahula Anunayaka Thero, Prof. Ven. Gallallei Sumanasiri Thero, Prof. Ven. Akuratiya Nanda Thero and other members of the Buddhist Intelligence Board were present at the meeting.
The discussion included the releasing a soft copy of the Tripitaka, the conservation of the historical ‘Puskola poth’ and other related topics.
