Two arrested over theft of gold worth Rs.250000

Two individuals have been arrested over the theft of gold jewelry from a woman’s bag.
Police stated that the incident occurred at the Horana bus station where the jewelry was stolen from the woman who was travelling from Horana to Kalutara.
The stolen goods were worth and estimated amount of Rs.250000.
Moragahane Police stated that the stolen goods have been handed over to the Horana Police Department.
The man and woman who have been arrested over the theft, will be presented to the Horana Magistrate’s Court later today (16), while the Horana Police Department has begun further investigations on the matter.
