Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe stated that problems arose with the coordination efforts in the process of restoring the lives of the flood victims back to normalcy.
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe stated this at a discussion with the district state officials, held at the Ayagama Divisional Secretariat Office.
The Premier further stated that the relief efforts were a success as a result of the commitment and dedication shown by state officials.
Additionally, he stated that paying compensation for the houses completely destroyed by the floods would be more straightforward than providing newly built houses, as the former would result in less complications.
The Prime Minister added that the lives of the victims must be reinstated without delay.
