Policy-based decision to resolve shortage of teachers - President

President Maithripala Sirisena stated that a policy-based decision must be made to resolve the shortage of teachers.
He stated that an independent method must be instigated to facilitate teacher transfers.
President Sirisena stated this at a meeting with the Provincial Chief Ministers yesterday (19).
The meeting was held at the President’s Office.
The President’s Media Division added that President Sirisena’s attention was drawn towards the provision of solutions for the teaching shortage at the provincial level, as well as the procedure of recruiting graduate teachers.
