Ayngaranesan and Gurukularasa resign

The Ministers of Agriculture and Education of the Northern Province P. Ayngaranesan and T. Gurukularasa have resigned from their respective portfolios.
It has been reported that their letters of resignation have been handed over to the Chief Minister of the Northern province, C.V. Wigneswaran.
The governor of the Northern Province, Reginald Cooray stated that he too has received a copy of the letters of resignation.
Wigneswaran will take oaths and serve as the Acting Minister of Agriculture, until a new minister is appointed.
