Migrant workers to face legal action if overstaying - Atukorale

Minister of Foreign Employment, Thalatha Atukorale stated that it was within Sri Lankan migrant workers responsibility to secure jobs provided by the Israeli government.
She added that due to certain individuals employed in the agricultural sector in Israel over staying illegally, has threatened their employability situation.
Hence, the respective officials are ready to take the necessary legal action against the perpetrators.
The statements were brought out during a ceremony held to distribute 38 airplane tickets, to local workers who will be travelling to Israel for work.
