Two arrested over treasure hunting

Two individuals have been arrested in the Polpitiya area in Polgahawela, for engaging in treasure hunting practices. 

 

The arrest was made after a raid carried out by the Polgahawela Police Department. 

 

Treasure hunting gear, along with religious ceremony equipment have been taken in to the custody of the Police, while the two individuals will be presented to the Polgahawela Magistrate Court in the future. 

 

They have been identified as residents of the Matikumbura and Alawwa areas.
