Trio arrested over jewelry theft

Three individuals have been arrested whilst attempting to flee after snatching necklaces off the necks of two women.
The arrest was made in Lunuwella, Dedigama following a raid, Police said.
The raid was conducted based on a complaint received by the Police about a robbery of two necklaces in Ranwala, Kegalle.
Upon arresting the suspects, Police succeeded in retrieving two gold necklaces worth Rs. 300,000 and a gold ring, in the possession of the arrestees.
The suspects are due to be produced before the Kegalle Magistrate’s Court today (08).
