Irregularities in construction of highway under present govt. - ACF

The Anti-Corruption front stated that there have been irregularities in the construction of the Mattala highway, under the current government.
 
All Island co-ordinator, Akalanka Hettiarachchi stated that an additional 40% of the cost has been added to the total construction cost of the highway.
 
He added that Minister Kabir Hashim had attempted to make amendments, thereby reducing the cost. 

 

Hettiarachchi further stated that despite the measures taken, the final cost recorded is much higher than that predicted by the subject minister.
