Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Puttalam, Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Eastern and Uva provinces after 2.00p.m
Fairly heavy showers (about 50 mm) can be expected at some places.
Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected in the Hambanthota and Mathale districts.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
