A group of residents are engaged in a protest blocking the Aluthgama Junction in Bindunuwewa on the Colombo-Badulla main road, Ada Derana reporter said.
The protesters are claiming that they did not receive proper compensation from the government despite being massively affected by the Uma Oya project.
Ada Derana reporter said that the protest has resulted in severe traffic congestion in the area.
