
(UPDATE): Minister of Foreign Affairs Ravi Karunanayake arrived at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing the Central Bank bond, today (2).
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ravi Karunanayake is due to arrive at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing the Central Bank bond, today (2).
Karunanayke was initially due to present himself at the commission on the 24 of July, however stated that he could not present himself on the set date and instead agreed to arrive on the 26.
Karunanayake later informed the commission, via his lawyer that he will not be able to make it on the 26 but on the 2 of August.
Meanwhile, PM Bandula Gunawardena stated that the joint Opposition party (JO) is planning on passing a motion of no confidence in parliament, against the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ravi Karunanayake.
