Anti-SAITM organization declares today a national day of protests

The anti-SAITM ‘Jana Pawura’ Organization has declared today (02) as a national day of protests.
Representative Mahinda Jayasinghe stated that plans had been set in motion to conduct demonstrations across the island today (02).
Prasad Colombage, another representative of the organization, stated that a protest march would originate from the vicinity of the National Hospital in Colombo at 12.00 noon.
Meanwhile, the five-day anti-SAITM protest march organized by the Inter-University Students’ Action Committee will be continuing its third day from Nelumdeniya. The protesters will be traveling to Nittambuwa on foot, representative Thusitha Priyankara confirmed.
