The Department of Examinations has issued a statement that all preparations for the upcoming GCE Advanced Level Examination have been completed

Commissioner of examinations General W.M.N.J.Pushpakumara states that the examinations are scheduled to commence on August 08, 2017. He also stated that 2230 examination centers including centers in the Delft, Kayts and Nainativu island regions.  

Commissioner Pushpakumara has also reported that there will be 315,227 applicants including 260 students with special needs that will be facing the A/Level examination this year. 

He also reminded all applicants that is mandatory to be present at their relevant examination centers by 8.00am with their National Identity card or a valid passport.

It was also stated that the utilization of smart watches, phones or any other electronic devices during the course of exams will be treated as a breach of conduct. He requested all examination center heads to vigilantly monitor all applicants within their designated centers.

Commissioner Pushpakumara also stated that any student who is caught carrying out any fraudulent activity during exams will be banned from facing any examination of the Examinations department for 5 years. 

He also requested any party to report a breach of conduct to the Examinations Department by contacting them via 1911 through any telephone device.
