
Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne stated that Sri Lanka hosts the best example of a state run, free health care service in the world.
Furthermore, he added that under the current government, the free state of the health service is being run at its best.
Rajitha added that although claims have been made stating that the private medical school in Malabe is being used to privatize the healthcare system in Sri Lanka, since being appointed as the minister of Health he had manage to provide 24 healthcare service centers to those who did not have access to it previously.
Senaratne made these statements during an event marking the placing of the foundation block of the new Kandy National Hospital.
Addressing the crowd, he further added that despite certain individuals attempting to sabotage the efforts made by the government, the government will push through to achieve its goals.
