Two Indian Nationals were arrested at the Katunayake airport (BIA), today for attempting smuggle a stock of gold to Chennai, India.
The stock of gold recovered by customs is estimated to be worth a total of Rs.2,000,000.
Officials have identified the two individuals as a 32 and 35 year-old.
Steps have been taken to nationalize the stock of seized gold.
