1 dead, 11 injured after bus topples in Aranayake

One individual has been killed in a traffic accident in Aranayake, Ussapitiya, with 11 more injured.

 

Aranayake Police reported that the accident had occurred when the bus driver had lost control of his vehicle, resulting in the bus falling into a waterway.

 

The bus was reportedly owned by the Ceylon Transport Board (CTB).

 

Whilst the total of 12  injured victims had been admitted to the Mawanella Hospital, one woman who sustained critical injuries had succumbed to her injuries following hospitalization.

 

Aranayake Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
